Oversaw and managed broad health aspects for more than 100 children, including infants, on an on-going basis. Duties included screening and continual follow-up for hearing, vision, blood pressure, growth assessments, anemia, lead, physicals, dental care, immunizations, and insurance, including applying for government assistance and other health programs. Maintained strict deadlines. Successfully completed tasks ahead of time and helped others meet their deadlines. Was also responsible for special meal plans, child health plans, and medication training of teachers for such things as asthma inhalers, head lice procedures, and EpiPen usage.

Taught four-week courses focusing on heart disease prevention specifically adapted to the Hispanic population. Topics included adult, child, and infant CPR, recognizing signs of stroke and heart attack, making life-style changes and goal setting. Emphasized daily physical activity, healthier eating, shopping, and cooking. Teaching families to change required enthusiasm, creativity, and motivation techniques.
