EXPERIENCE
Sharpe Publishing- Intern/Freelancer-2020
In this role, I proofed manuscripts, provided feedback for as yet unpublished works and wrote copy. This involved correcting spelling, grammar, fluency and proofing errors. I also provided comments and suggestions regarding submitted manuscripts and wrote reviews. At the publishing house, I also wrote blurbs and taglines as well as helped design covers.

Ben Uri Gallery- Digital Intern-2019
At the gallery, I made their first in-house films. These informational films featured a particular artist or theme and were used on social media to promote the gallery. This role involved working independently as I made the films alone, research skills and adaptability as I was involved in every aspect of the production.

Museum of London- Trainee Filmmaker- 2018
This role involved creating a short instructional film to accompany an exhibition and organising a screening event with a social media tie in. In this role, I conducted research, desk-based and practical, storyboarded and created a creative way to communicate a complex artistic process. This project also involved video and audio editing as well as creating a soundscape. In this role, I also demonstrated collaborative skills as I undertook the project in a team as well as leadership skills as I took the lead organising the screening event and the interactive social media tie-in.

London Transport Museum- Filmmaker- 2018
At the London Transport Museum, I worked in a team to create a short educational film for an exhibition focusing on the complex notion of remembrance and chronicling the underrepresented role of transport staff during the First World War. This involved research, interviewing experts and members of the public and discovering a way to present the complex history clearly and in an engaging manner. I also gave a speech at the screening event to explain our process and methodology as I am comfortable presenting in front of a large audience.

EUTV- 2018- 2019
I have also been involved with the Edinburgh University TV channel in which I present, film, create and edit videos, using Premiere Pro, concerning events, reviews and news for their social media. By contributing to the channel I have learned how to work on projects both independently and collaboratively and present information to fellow students in an engaging manner.

The Benjamin Franklin House- Visitor Assistant- 2018
As a visitor assistant, I welcomed and guided visitors, worked in the box office and shop, gave tour presentations, conducted Q and A sessions and organised visitor feedback. In this role, I learnt how to present large amounts of information in an effective and engaging manner as well as improved my interpersonal skills. The Q and A sessions I lead at the end of each tour taught me to think on my feet and how to work independently. I also collected and analysed visitor feedback forms using Excel and provided creative ideas for the museums social media channels.

The Sir John Soane Museum- Visitor Assistant- 2017
At the museum I had to learn on the job as I explained artefacts and introduced visitors to the forgotten personalities of the house by detailing the biographies of its past inhabitants. This role involved retaining a large amount of information as well as finding engaging ways to present this information to a variety of people.
