Alana Ciarcia's Resume

To whom this may concern,

Please accept this letter in application for an employment opportunity among this incredible company.

My name is Alana Ciarcia. I am a student at FIT, and an aspiring stylist, in pursuit of an internship within the fashion industry.

This past Spring, I have graduated and earned an AAS Degree in Fashion Business Management as a transfer student at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Additionally, I will be returning to FIT this Fall to study for my BS Degree.

Throughout my journey as a transfer student, I have grown as an individual, both personally and professionally; learning the importance of self-trust, respect, loyalty, communication, and organization. After enrolling at FIT, I have become more positive, motivated, and strive to gain as much knowledge and experience as I can.

As a fashion student, I have studied the various different aspects of the fashion industry, while learning to implement that knowledge into a professional work environment. The information I have gained from these classes, have equipped me with the skills and understanding needed to work successfully within the fashion industry.

This past semester my studies focused on product development, the business of styling, and photo styling. I learned the ins and outs of developing new items, as well as the structure/process of a fashion shoot, and the different roles involved. I also learned the necessities, tools, and techniques needed, in order to be a proficient fashion stylist.

Working as a retail associate, I was involved in the floor set and visual display. I consistently surpassed sales goals during each shift I worked. Additionally, I learned the true significance of teamwork and discovered my aptitude for excellent customer service.

As an assistant to the office manager, I learned the importance of organization and time management; as well as how to implement both into the other aspect of my life, both professionally and personally. Additionally, I learned what characteristics make up a successful business, and how that business must operate in order to be successful.

Furthermore, I am incredibly passionate about vintage clothing and spend the majority of my time searching for hidden treasures in vintage and thrift shops. Thus, working in an environment pertaining to this passion would be an ideal career for me.

To conclude, I am confident that my previous and current education, work experience, and passion for the fashion industry makes me a viable candidate for a position with this incredible company. Attached is my resume further explaining my additional qualification. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Alana Ciarcia
