Accounting Manager/Office Manager
• Manage Blue Time company financial records via QuickBooks.
• Maintain integrity of data with accurate posting of A/R, A/P and overall financial transactions.
• Manage finance and administrative staff to ensure successful execution of overall responsibilities within the accounting/retail departments.
• Work closely with the CFO to properly manage the accounting department’s flow of information within QB, the Factor, Bank and CPA firm in order to generate solid financial statements.
• Process payroll for 10 entities, maintain employee records and handle all employee payroll requests.
• Handle overall HR issues – paid time off, insurance eligibility, salary changes, gov’t ordered child support deductions, garnishments, etc..
• Act as liaison with Factor to coordinate advance requests, customer payments, assignments, deductions, interest payments, inventory reports and other financial/admin tasks.
• Work with various representatives of Chase Bank, BHI, CIT, NYC Dept of Consumer Affairs, NYS/NYC Dept of Taxation & Finance to address and resolve any requests/open issues/violations, etc.
• Work with various reps from CPA’s office on financial tasks – corporate estimated payments, sales tax filings for 10 entities, 1099’s, IRS/NYS/NYC notices and violations for 25-30 entities.
• Handle overall admin insurance issues with various brokers – Workers Compensation, Short Term Disability, Health/Dental/Vision, Liability, Property, Jewelers Block and Employee Practices.
• Communicate and coordinate with vendors/customers to address and resolve payments, credits, returns and outstanding balances. Make collections calls to customers to bring past due balances up to date.
• Complete numerous account opening/credit applications to open lines of credits with vendors.
• Effectively coordinate and disseminate vital financial and administrative information to store managers and staff in order to properly run the retail locations.
• Provide support to all company executives/managers in various financial and administrative tasks.
