JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing a range of secretarial and clerical services including typing, filing, record keeping in support of the Center's departments and staff.



MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for processing incoming phone calls. Screens inquiry and routes call to the appropriate staff member. Takes messages and ensures they are received by appropriate staff members.
May participate in collecting client fees, providing receipts to patients for payments received. Financial intakes for testing.
Operates a range of automated and standard office equipment including typewriter, computer, word processor, and photocopy machine.
Sorts and routes mail to designated staff members.
Provides a range of typing services helping to complete a range of administrative and clinical forms. Submits documentation, as required.
May perform duties related to the preparation and maintenance of client records (e.g., locating charts, filing documents, etc.).
Provides backup to other support staff positions as required.
Participates in supervision and educational activities to improve job related skills.
Assumes other appropriate duties as assigned.



MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent plus one year of general secretarial experience.
