I held a position at the UC Davis Health System from 1998-2011 with a short break in service; I had a very fulfilling and fantastic career. My mother fell extremely ill and I had to care for her full time. Now that I have another family member who cares for her full time, I am back into the work force working for Martin Cohen Financial since May 2018.
I have worked in the medical field regarding high level administration including excellent customer service skills with extensive communication. I have knowledge with business office procedures, detailed event planning, telecommunications, cultivation, medical billing, collections, accounting, dispatching and supervision.
I am a hardworking, dependable, and courteous employee with a very positive attitude. I have knowledge regarding detailed marketing, travel arrangements, performed many events including processing the hotel contracts, floor schematics, catering, registration, and everything from set-up to breakdown. Then upon returning I handled the accounts payable and receivable including the account balance of the events profits.

Once I have learned the process, I move in a very fast pace while obtaining the knowledge needed to perform all tasks required. I enjoy working in a team environment but can also, excel as an individual.

• Extensive experience in high level administrative support for Program Chair’s Physicians, RN’s, Directors, Managers, Dean, Assistant Dean and Development Officers; coordinates all logistics and complicated calendaring for meetings, events, mailings, expenses, documents, reports, answering phones, etc. I have extensive knowledge with researching and developing data, and continuous quality improvement. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain all relationships effectively and professionally. Communicate in person and on the telephone with various organizational levels, differing temperaments and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Extensive experience with accounting principles, detailed budgets, medical billing, registration and patient demographics. Knowledge and ability verifying patients’ insurance coverage; answering patients’ billing questions; handling collections on unpaid accounts while managing the facility’s accounts receivable reports. Produce coded data; submit claims to insurance companies; work directly with the insurance companies, healthcare providers, patients and customers to process claims; reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims with a very high success rate using medical terminology.
• I have trained, coached, and motivated up to 20 personnel at a time and have extensive experience with selection and review.
