I worked for 5 years solving complex technical problems as an Electrical Engineer before deciding I needed a career change and diving head first into coding. I have now spent 18 months developing for 2 companies, most recently as the lead Front End Developer for High Rev Applications rebuilding their Analytics Dashboard product, which is now coming to a close. I am looking for opportunities to continue expanding my knowledge on more complex and exciting projects.

High Rev Applications Remote
Front End Developer March 2019 – Present

• Lone Front End Developer building the UI/UX for the High Rev Applications Analytics dashboard. Tasks included
-Complete overhaul of the User Interface utilizing React, Redux, and SASS to match new mock ups from the in house designer.
-Writing API calls to retrieve and send new data that did not exist in the current dashboard.
-Reduced load times and improved user experience by incorporating React Router to create seamless inner app transitions.
-Implemented various React Libraries to increase user experience while decreasing the complexity of our direct code.
-Working with the corporate and administrative team to successfully pitch our Analytics Dashboard to new potential clients.

Blocklight Remote
Front End Developer March 2018 – March 2019

• Primary Front End Developer building the website and internal analytics application for Blocklight
Tasks included:
-Building the UI and functionality of the internal workings of the Blocklight Analytics Platform (BAP) with HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, and React.
-Converting the BAP to React to counter loading time and functionality issues as development scaled.
-Ensuring successful functionality between the Front End and the Django back end of the BAP.
-Writing AJAX and REST calls to communicate between the BAP and the back end servers.

Meter Automation Engineer October 2016 – January 2018

• Engineer involved in the development of the new Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system.
Tasks included:
-Constructing the configuration requirements and primary testing procedures for new AMI Software.
-Lead in developing updated functionality requirements of existing enterprise software including Avista’s inventory system, meter head end system, billing system, and meter programming/testing software
-Worked directly with IT and developers to develop the technical and usability requirements for new AMI software to be used post launch.
-Wrote and performed first article test cases for AMI software during the development process.
• Additionally, was responsible for inner metershop Tasks including:
-Managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting existing meter management systems.
-Wrote SQL queries to monitor trends and patterns in the Avista database of over 1 billion datapoints.
-Writing and executing plans to increase efficiency in existing metershop processes including: developing a KANBAN system for managing meter inventory flow, creating an annual process for randomly selecting meters for sample testing, driving development for an automated process to import assets into our asset management software.

-Reverse engineering controls and mechanical systems of complex manufacturing processes to determine possible methods of redesigning equipment for future aircraft program requirements.
