Friedberg Family Hermosa Beach, CA 2014-2018

Full time nanny and household manager and evolved to a household management postion, ages of children upon hire: 7, 4, and 2 years old.
Provided full time care to all children�s needs. This position began as a temporary assignment watching and entertaining the children in the Los Angeles area while their father finished a movie production. The mother was traveling abroad. After the two weeks, helped with the set up and needs of the new home in California. Later accompanied the father back East to help with the family move across country. A week later accompanied the mother flying the children back to California while the father stayed East for work. The nature of this position for the last four years has been to be available for whenever and wherever they made need assistance and/or coverage. An average week is helping to maintain the children�s needs and activities as well as transportation to and from. Keeping the children busy has been a priority. Doing so involved numerous outings such as the aquarium, Disneyland, Adventureland, Sky Zone, and many parks and playgrounds. Numerous ski trips and family vacations East as well as weeks spent in Portland for film production. Covered many overnights and days away as their employment required travel. Met to all household needs such as laundry, children�s meals, dry cleaning, pet walking, medication, and grooming needs, grocery shopping, and many other household errands.
Assistance in the growth and well-being of the children was discussed and seen to as well as homework and projects for the older children.

Full time nanny, ages of children upon hire: 10, 3, and 2 years old.
Provided full time care to all children�s needs. Helped eldest with homework, projects, setting playdates, supervision and driving to/ from activities. Helped child with social issues and puberty concerns. Helped younger children with all aspects of their developmental progression. Implemented a potty chart to sucession of potty training, included elder children with a chore chart. One child has a peanut allergy, carried and knowledgeable with implementing an epi pen. Children have dairy sensitivity, learned to cook around it. Parents worked a range of hours so assisted in family dinners, baths, hygiene and bedtime routines. Kept family log for communication between parents and nanny. Helped family to organize their home to help daily life flow easier. Played lots of games and taught basic learning through play. Many days spent outside hiking, bike riding, beach, and backyard play.
Helped with care of family dog.
Position ended when I moved to California .

Marshak Family Cohassett, MA 2012

Full time nanny, ages of children upon hire: 5, and 2.5 years old.
Responsibilities included transportation to all activities, children's laundry, and errands. Worked with the parents on implementing a reward system. Assisted in the five year old's exercise program associated with a medical condition. Helped in potty training of younger child to successful potty training.
This position was shortened as mother found stay at home employment.

Weber Family Melrose, MA 2010-2011

Full time nanny, age of child upon hire: 4 years old.
Provided full time care to all aspects of child's well-being. Acted as a liaison between mother and grandparents who had legal custody. This position required nanny to meet and organize all aspects regarding the child's medical, educational and social needs. Met occasionally and had a daily log with child's teacher as child had physical and social delays. Provided transportation to school and all activities. Accompanied on family vacations and managed the child's activities on such vacations. Took child on many trips to museum, zoos, indoor play spaces, library sessions, hikes, mini golf and water parks. Took weekly pictures and made family albums as well as sent to all family members via phone.
This position ended as it was recommended by myself and a liason for guardians to be more involved.

Strong Family Duxbury, MA 2007-2010

Full time nanny, age of children upon hire: 5, 2 years old and a preemie baby born a couple months later

This position was with a stay at home mother whom was on bed rest at the end of pregnancy. Took care of older children during mother�s bed rest and delivery. Assisted in care of infant in afternoons so mother could spend time with other children. Infant was a preemie and required some intervention with her gross motor skills. Implemented plan set by physical therapist. Responsibilities for household included errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation, laundry, and making of organic baby food. Family was gluten free, learned to shop and cook accordingly. Set up a potty and chore chart for all at appropriate age levels. Helped children with academics, homework, school projects and general learning. Taught children many card and board games. Spent lots of time outside scootering, biking, making racetracks, basketball, tennis, beach, and swing set. Accompanied on family trips and covered some overnights and weekends. Helped with care of family dogs. Still babysat until recent move.
Position ended when youngest went to full time preschool.


VonderLuft Family Hingham, MA 2001-2007

Full time nanny, age of children upon hire: 2 week old infant with a sibling to come 2 years later

Interviewed with the family when infant was 2 weeks old. Started part time work the following week, leading to full time a month later. Twelve hour work day involved all aspects of child rearing. Started a family log/journal with pictures. Responsibilities included errands, grocery shopping, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining tidiness. As children grew began researching activities and school programs. Scheduled all appropriate activities and playdates. Taught children basic Spanish words and some Sign Language. Family had a pool, lots of outdoor time, biking, baseball, soccer, etc.. Met other nannies and au pairs at playground. Started and organized a Nanny/Au pair Playgroup. Some of the children are still friends and the Nannies/Au pairs stay in touch through Facebook. Accompanied family on weekend trips. Occasionally did overnights and weekends.
Position ended due to needing daily medical attention.

Palabrica/Hom Family Cohassett, MA 2000-2001

Full time nanny, age of children upon hire: 3 and 5 years old.
Full time care of two children. Responsibilities included laundry, meals, and maintaining tidiness. Focus of responsibility was to the children's development. This included working with the children to help nurture their social needs as well as providing an educational environment. Worked with both children on their work and applications into a private academy that included preschool. Took breaks to play street hockey and lots of Legos.
Position ended when hours were lessened following school year.

Olen Family Canton, MA 1989-2000

Full time nanny, age of children upon hire: 7, 6, 4 years old and an infant.
Live-in nanny to family (1989-1992) Live-out (1992-2000). Extensive responsibilities included grocery shopping, errands, and providing meals. Organized chore list and drove/picked up all from school and activities. As children became teenagers helped with homework especially youngest diagnosed with ADD at age six. Covered parents� vacations as well as accompanied family on trips. Have now gone to three out of four children's weddings and two have a child of their own. Stay in touch through Facebook and text.
Position ended after 12 years.
