The Visitors Center Coordinator contributes to the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce by operating the public-facing Visitors Center and engaging with all guests with a friendly and helpful communication style. We are looking for an associate with knowledge of Healdsburg who can guide visitors toward local events, businesses, parks dining, wineries, retail, etc. You will as also be responsible for a variety of administrative responsibilities and provide exceptional customer service as the welcoming face of Healdsburg for out-of-town and local guests. The position reports to the CEO and Director of Marketing & Communications.

Responsibilities:
The Visitor’s Center Associate has the following responsivities and duties:
• This position is the first point of contact for visitors looking for information at the Chamber and Visitors Center. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude that is willing to help those that are inquiring about our destination - in person, via phone, and email.
• Manage and organize all tracking of visitors.
• Respond to all phone or email inquiries regarding visitor questions. This may include putting together packets to mail and/or researching options and additional information. • Manage and update hospitality guides quarterly with input from Chamber Staff. (Guides are built in Canva)
• Manage the phone line and take detailed messages. This includes checking voicemails and forwarding information to the correct Chamber Staff.
• Upkeep marketing collateral in the Visitor’s Center by maintaining an organized and full display case. This includes reaching out to Chamber members to restock collateral as well as removing any outdated printed materials.
• Outreach to Chamber-affiliated businesses to maintain updated contact information. • Work with the Visitor Center volunteers to ensure clear communication of Visitor Center needs and updates. • Add events and press releases to the Chamber website as time permits.
• Attend weekly Chamber Staff Meetings.

Desirable Skills:
• Customer service experience. Patience is key and a smile is necessary!
• Expansive knowledge and understanding of different local businesses, streets, parks, and transportation companies within Healdsburg and the surrounding area.
• Strong computer research skills along with excellent phone communication skills are required.
• Prior experience working with the public is strongly desired.

Requirements:
• Availability to work 16-28 hours per week. Weekday and weekend shifts will be determined, along with occasional evening support for Chamber events.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Strong email communication and phone skills. • Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge.
• Canva knowledge and experience is a plus.

Compensation:
• $16.75
