The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy

Mentor/Tutor Volunteer

The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy is currently seeking a Mentor/Tutor Volunteer to mentor and tutor students after school with their curriculum studies.

The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy is a new, exclusive, and innovative private school being introduced to the city of St. Louis, Missouri.

A mentor is a listener, a guide, and a supporter. Tutors give students the extra help they need by increasing confidence in their learning abilities and helping them further their education. Being a caring adult in a young persons life makes such a difference and is so rewarding.

Mentor/Tutor Volunteers will be positive role-models in an after-school mentoring/tutoring program for St. Louis youth. Mentor/Tutor Volunteers will take an active role in improving the academic progress of students by working directly with youth (one-on-one, or in small groups) and assisting staff in the facilitation of standards-based activities focused on reading, writing, math, art, and science. The after-school program will run from October to May.
