Music/Choir Instructor
The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy is currently seeking a passionate Music Instructor to play a hugely significant role in helping children to develop their creative skills.
The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy is a new, exclusive, and innovative private school being introduced to the city of St. Louis, Missouri.
The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy’s mission is to empower the youths through creativity. We are out to impact the youths in and around St. Louis. We are out to prepare students to intellectually and creatively interact and succeed in our ever-changing world.
The Music Instructors teaches a variety of music styles, techniques and instruments to student from beginner to advanced level and ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to achieve their goals in their chosen area of dance. They are professionally trained in one or more disciplines.
Responsibilities
• Teach music courses to students including voice, tone, tempo, and rhythm skills.
• Teach Academy students on various instruments.
• Train, rehearse and lead students in school and community musical performances.
• Understand potentials and skills of each student and guide individual student according to their skills.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback and assistance to improve their musical skills.
• Recommend maintenances and repairs for musical instruments when necessary.
• Work in collaboration with Director.
• Work with multiple schools, organizations and after school programs.
• Approximately 10 – 25 hours a week.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Music or qualification from an accredited college/university.
• Evidence of knowledge of music curriculum and the ability to implement it.
• Evidence of ability to teach, train or improve students instrumental skills.
• Evidence of ability to interact collaboratively with students, parents, and Administration.
