Dance Instructor
The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy is currently seeking a passionate Dance Instructor to play a hugely significant role in helping children to develop their creative skills.
The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy is a new, exclusive, and innovative private school being introduced to the city of St. Louis, Missouri.
The Saint Louis Hollywood Academy’s mission is to empower the youths through creativity. We are out to impact the youths in and around St. Louis. We are out to prepare students to intellectually and creatively interact and succeed in our ever-changing world.
The Dance Instructor teaches a variety of dance styles and techniques to students from beginner to advanced level and ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to achieve their goals in their chosen area of dance. They are professionally trained in one or more disciplines.
Responsibilities
• Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
• Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.
• Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
• Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
• Choreograph routines and select music for recitals and concerts.
• Conduct group and private lessons as required.
• Provide a fun and creative environment.
• Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as
needed.
• Works in collaboration with Executive Director.
• Coordinate performances for Academy students.
• Work with multiple schools, organizations and after school programs.
• Approximately 10 – 25 hours a week.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Previous teaching experience required.
• Excellent communication skills.
