JOB SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. He or she coordinates much of the administrative work of the church office and provides administrative support for the pastoral staff and program staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

� Greet and direct in-person visitors to the church during office hours and before and after worship. Works with ushers, greeters and other volunteers to provide welcome and hospitality to church member and guests.
� Answer the telephone and direct callers to the appropriate staff member, church leader, or volunteer.
� Take messages for church staff and volunteers
� Receives, sorts, and forwards incoming mail.
� Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
� Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and collating.
� Maintain an awareness of church programs (and community programs for referral) to assist in answering questions of church member and community members.
� Maintain the church calendar, including coordinating events, facilities, and scheduling community events.
� Maintain the church�s membership database in coordination with the Membership Secretary.
� Assist in Charge Conference and End-of-Year reporting.
� Communicate with the Pastor and other congregational care ministries concerning pastoral care needs including hospitalizations and deaths.
� Coordinates with Church Staff and Volunteers to complete Annual Reporting, Charge Conference Paperwork, and non-profit/tax-exempt filings.
� Assists with event planning and coordination of volunteers.
� Works with the Lead Pastor and other staff on the production of the weekly worship bulletin, weekly e-newsletter, monthly newsletter, and other print and online communications.
� Serve as Recording Secretary for the Core Leadership Team and annual Charge Conference meetings.
� Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
HOURS & SCHEDULE (There is the possibility of some flexibility and adjustment to these hours if necessary.)
� Approx 20 hours a week.
� Standard Hours are Monday � Thursday, 9am � 1pm and Sunday, 8:30am � 12:30pm

COMPENSATION
� $20 - $22 per hour
� 4 weeks of Paid Vacation (+ an additional week between Christmas Day & New Year�s Day)
� Paid Holidays
