Bell Brothers Brewing is a minority and millennial owned and operated engineering-themed brewery opening in downtown Colorado Springs in December 2021. We combine scientific innovation with quality ingredients to deliver uniquely satisfying brews. Bell Brothers believes in a comprehensive community experience, so we will also serve an array of local wines and spirts so anyone can come to our taproom and enjoy a taste of Colorado, no matter what’s in their glass.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for Beertenders to join our brewpub team!
Ideal candidates will have a passion for craft beer and be willing to cultivate a working knowledge of Colorado Springs craft breweries, cider, mead, and spirits. Motivation to improve your palate, fermentation knowledge, and mixology skills will keep you at the top of our list. Employees will help us choose rotating guest and seasonal taps based on their interactions with guests.
Team members will facilitate the visitor experience by engaging guests, providing education about our products and other products we carry, serving drinks, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the taproom and outdoor patio. This position will work between 20-30hrs/week with a team of 2-4 other individuals who are dedicated to ensuring a great experience for both guests and staff. Must be 21+ to apply.

Reports to: General Manager
SCHEDULE:
4-8 hour shifts scheduled between 12PM-12AM Mon-Sun
Flexible schedule options available
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items in order to answer guest questions and make recommendations
Provide responsible alcohol service by verifying guest age and identification
Build rapport with regular customers to create a positive and engaging atmosphere
Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic
Manage orders and process payments (cash or card) through the POS system
Maintain comfort & cleanliness throughout the taproom, storage areas, and restrooms
Clean glasses, plates, and bar utensils
Bus and reset bar-tops and tables
Set up and close down taproom and patio
Promote events and specials
Assist in maintaining taproom inventory
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of and passion for craft beer and the brewing industry
TIPS certification (Management will provide certification training if the candidate doesn’t already meet this requirement)
Ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness to evaluate and ensure guest satisfaction
Ability to tolerate a fast-paced work environment and multi-task under pressure
Abide by all federal, state, local, and company guidelines pertaining to COVID 19
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Ability to communicate effectively with management in regards to any issues, customer-related or otherwise, and shift scheduling
Experience with Microsoft Office
1 year bartending/brewery experience preferred
1 year restaurant experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 35-50 lbs
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to bend and stoop while serving guests
Able to work in varying temperatures and noise levels typical for a retail food industry
