Qualifications-

Requirements-
Masters degree with an MFT option
Registered Associate with the BBS or in the process of doing so

Requirements-

Having a passion for helping others
Desire to specialize in either couples therapy, anxiety, depression or obsessive compulsive disorder
Having an interest in learning about the business side of private practice
Professional and devoted individual
Responsibilities-
- Provide individual psychotherapy to assigned clients
- Perform assessment, treatment planning, ongoing documentation and termination services
- Maintain accurate client records and scheduling using simple practice
- Attend and participate in weekly supervision and consultation
- When needed collaborate with outside providers such as psychiatrists
- Conduct consultations for some new clients
Summary-
This is for an individual who is trying to earn hours towards their Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure.
Supervisor will sign off on hours, provide and help guide associate to become a more knowledgeable clinician by offering feedback, theory help (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Focused therapy & John Gottman method) and in-person client therapy sessions, note help and weekly supervision.
Supervisor can be flexible with associates schedule. Associate can choose mornings, afternoons or evenings at the San Jose office (near 280 and Winchester) when meeting with clients. At least 15 hours a week with room to grow.
Associate can have the option to work remotely (client agreed) after being on board for at least 3 months this is subject to change.
