Fruition Sciences is seeking a Vineyard Sampling Technician for the 2019 harvest season. We are looking for technicians in the Napa/Sonoma area.

The Job Description
Approximate 2 month part-time internship from August-September. This will be perfect if you are looking to start a harvest position in late fall.
Rate: $15/hour, typically 25 hours/week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Daily data entry in Google Sheets and recording of field observations
Collecting various types of field measurements (i.e. predawn leaf water potential, fruit samples, bacchimeter)
these include start times as early as 4am
Learning to navigate and manage data on our 360viti software
Learning to use specialized technical tools for different sampling methods
Daily progress updates to your supervisor using various communication methods
Must provide own transportation, you will be reimbursed for mileage.
Must live in or near the area.
We do not have the ability to visa sponsor for this position, must be authorized to work in the US.
Must be flexible and available to work all days of the week.

Our Vineyard Technicians collect vineyard data through several different methods at various vineyards throughout the Napa/Sonoma area. The use of these different precision viticulture tools is required to perform this job. You will receive training on the specifics of each device as the time of season arrives for the certain measurement. The Vineyard Technician is then responsible for navigating to arrive at these specific site locations and perform the sampling as instructed in a timely manner to deliver the results to clients.
This is a vineyard internship, so you will be outside; rain or shine. Summer conditions in this area are hot and dry sometimes reaching 100 degrees in the middle of the day. Physical fitness is strongly encouraged to be able to travel on foot in the vineyards carrying the various tools. Along with working outside collecting samples you will be expected to upload data and work with our vineyard software platform, 360viti. You will receive training on all required tasks so there is no previous knowledge or experience required for this internship but expectations for this internship are extremely high.
