Video Production Internship

Media In Neighborhoods Group (MING) is searching for self-motivated and fast-learning production interns for ongoing client work and multiple feature documentary projects. We are looking for responsible individuals who are serious about pursuing a career in film and video production for the upcoming Spring semester.

Intern Responsibilities:

- Attend video shoots and provide support to crew.
- Assist with technical needs in pre-production and development phase, like research and communications
- Transcribing, logging, archiving footage
- Editing on Premiere Pro CC and/or FCPX
- Provide support to Editors in post-production process
- Familiarity with camera and audio equipment is a plus
- Experience with graphic or motion design is also a plus
- Assist with social media content for Twitter and Instagram

Interns will work directly under the production team and are expected to commit 15-30 hours/week with a minimum 10-week commitment at the MING offices in Fishtown - Philadelphia, PA. This internship is intended for students and is unpaid, but we can offer college credit in coordination with your college or university. A stipend for travel and meals may be available.

Who We Are

MING is an award-winning production company comprised of a small and tight-knit team of collaborators with years of experience in the field of documentary production. MING’s previous feature documentary Pull of Gravity, which explores cycles of incarceration in North Philadelphia, has screened for policy makers across the country and internationally, and has been hailed as a must-see film by numerous local and national news outlets.

Start Date:
ASAP / January 2020

Requirements:

- Must be a current student
- Applicants without a resume will not be considered
- Passion for documentary filmmaking
- Some experience with Adobe Premiere or Final Cut X
- Interest in social justice causes a plus
- Knowledge of camera/audio equipment a plus
- Reliable transportation
- 15-30 hours/week & 10-week minimum commitment
