UX Web/App Designer

nēdl is seeking an intern to assist us in enhancing our user experiences for our mobile and desktop application.

In a Designer role, you’ll address complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use solutions for our nēdlcasters and nēdlers. Join our internship program and learn about the radio and streaming worlds, and get hands-on experience in your field of study.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Work directly with our founders to create and refine specs for new features.
Lead and assist the user experience group in developing sketches, wireframes, designs and presentations.
Participate in user research sessions with real customers.
Create production-ready mockups for client approval.
Test unreleased versions of streaming and in-vehicle players to ensure conformance with requirements.
Review and error-check UX and UI design documents.
Create interactive prototypes in Invision or code.
Participate in design reviews.
Influence product and business strategy.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree in graphic design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or related field.
Experience with design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, After Effects, Quartz Composer, Framer Studio, etc.)
A design portfolio that demonstrates design principles for web and/or mobile platforms.
Available to work full or part time.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of UX Design and workflow software (Sketch, Zeplin).
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and After Effects.
Knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of the radio streaming landscape.
