Our ideal candidate is creative and has strong knowledge of upper elementary program structures. In addition, the candidate is interested in building a rich program leading to increased enrollment. This person is comfortable working in a collaborative, co-teaching model and is eager to be a key contributor to moving our young upper elementary program forward. In addition to requiring very strong written and spoken English communication skills, it is helpful to have proficiency in another language and/or experience in a language immersion setting (although not required).

*Interest in coordinating goings out, including over night trips, with the upper elementary students.
*Strength in a project-based, highly integrated approach to applying the Montessori philosophy.
*High comfort level with current and new technology.
*Upper elementary certification from a MACTE-accredited program
*5+ years experience as a guide in an upper elementary Montessori classroom
In this position, you will be part of a multilingual team with the existing upper elementary teachers in French, Spanish, and Chinese and will be supported by the Director of Programs who served as the upper elementary English teacher for the last three years. The team will collaborate closely to ensure program integrity and cohesion across the languages.
This position is a full-time position and typically over a ten-month school calendar. The 2020-2021 school year will be slightly longer due to the current pandemic. A competitive salary and health, vision, and dental benefits are available.
