As we move into the next stage of development, we are assembling a group of top like-minded people who want to make an impact.
That’s where you come in.

The Position:
We’re looking for someone creative with strong editorial judgement and technical chops to edit audio content for The New School podcast. We are willing to train up and coming sound editors as long as they’re eager to learn and work hard. You will play a pivotal role in creating The New School podcast episodes heard by our audiences.

What You’ll Be Working On:
- Work with our producer to ensure the delivery of high-quality polished audio episodes.
- Identify and integrate best practices for editing, mixing, and mastering.
- Use your editorial judgement to shorten and mix recorded interviews for narrative storytelling.
- Score and sound design for our show; source music or compose original content.
- Edit out mistakes, vocal tics, and pauses in recorded interviews.
- Add any sponsored content to episodes.
- Turn in finished episodes by mutually agreed upon deadlines.
- Convert podcast audio to YouTube videos.
