ONE MONTH UNPAID INTERNSHIP (with consideration for full time)

Overview: Boutique art brand seeks all-star social media/communications intern to join a small team of Brooklyn-based creatives.

We are: merchants of emotion. A dynamic team, led by abstract artist Max Makewell, who seek to promote connectivity through fine art.

You are: a student or recent graduate with a great attitude and passion for social media. A fluid communicator with an eye for aesthetics. A strong writer and researcher– someone who understands how to frame a message in a concise, compelling manner, and who can extrapolate information from any reading. Self-motivated, arts-obsessed, and driven by success.

The role:
Work closely with both the artist and Makewell Art’s marketing team to deliver on high-quality communications and outreach
Strategize on upcoming gallery shows and edition launches
Assist in running the Makewell Art social media accounts
Research and reach out to PR firms, galleries, and other arts-focused entities within the NYC area.
30–40 hours per week

The requirements:
A degree (or currently working towards a degree) in marketing, PR, communications, journalism, or a related field
An excellent written voice
Experience in research and outreach/PR
Experience creating promotional materials– brochures, newsletters, and catalogs
Strong communication skills– we’re a small team, so being articulate and accessible is critical for success
Ability to think outside of the box and explore creative solutions to challenges that arise
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
