Job Title: Social Media Manager
Compensation: NONE (Volunteer Position)
Reports to: Administrative Specialist
Position Summary: The Social Media Manager supports brick and mortar marketing and eCommerce campaigns in execution of their social strategies for selling & driving media campaigns. The ideal candidate can thrive in a creative, collaborative and results driven environment while being a self-starter.
Essential Functions & Duties:
Concept and manage the social media calendar to support marketing initiatives along with standard posting cadence.
Ideate, create and post Instagram stories, live streams and standard posts on a consistent basis that is determine by post performance and analytics.
Manage and execute the posting of content utilizing social media tools to ensure post quality and that posts are made without any issue.
Provide key insights gleaned to be used to enhance digital creative efforts.
Concept, shoot, edit and create engaging social media content utilizing both photography & video mediums.
Write engaging and compelling captions and copy for social media posts, as well as responses to users that emulate our organizational tone of voice.
Analyze, review and report on effectiveness of social media content (posts) and campaigns (ads) to maximize results with social media reporting technology.
Track performance using analytic reporting tools including but not limited to Google Analytics, Instagram and Facebook.
Design, monitor and deploy social media ad sets to promote marketing initiatives.
* Analyze hashtag, posting time and other trends within social media to keep content active within social media algorithms.
Provide concept direction to team members including graphic designer, marketing and photographer to capture and develop content that supports social media.
1-2 years of experience creating engaging content for Instagram, Facebook and websites
Proven ability to manage and create engaging social media content
Fluency in utilizing social media tools & platforms
Management of social media calendar and integrating it within an overall marketing calendar
Ability to act quickly to analytics to set the pace for an engaged audience
Experience in designing Instagram stories, posts and ads
Clear understanding of social media and how to achieve & articulate success across all organic & paid platforms
Strong team building skills; ability to work in cross functional teams
Excellent presentation, communication and project management skills
Ability to create and monitor social media campaigns & ads to stay on-brand and on-budget
2-3 years of experience writing copy for social media outlets
Exceptional design and curation skills for social media
Ability to create sophisticated on-brand written & visual assets
