Social Media Intern

LUXURGERY is looking to hire a Social Media Intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including key social media platforms.

1. DESCRIPTION
The Social Media Intern will be responsible for coordinating and executing the practice’s social media strategy and will be instrumental in optimizing our online presence and expanding brand visibility. The member of the team will be working closely with key members of staff and external consultants to increase our social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand among the community and potential patients.
2. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Refine social media strategy and best practices
b. Work with engagements/media team to assist in managing social media platforms (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging
c. Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis for the practice
i. Ensuring the practice’s messaging in being executed online
d. Monitor and post on blogs, forums, video platforms, and social networks
i. Monitoring and replying to engagement on all platforms (under the supervision of the Engagement Coordinator)
e. Optimize online outreach and promotion
f. Keep up to date and informed on new social media trends and adapt accordingly
g. Monitor analytics and prepare weekly updates and reports to track progress and success rates of campaigns
h. Identify leaders and influencers (internal/external) and engage them in brand activities
i. Assist with website monitoring, proofing, and updating as needed
3. QUALIFICATIONS
a. Students applying for this internship should be Marketing, Business, Communications, Language, or Liberal Arts majors, with considerable web experience and a solid understanding of online outreach and promotional marketing.
i. Ability to take initiative, employ good judgment, and manage projects
ii. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
iii. Exceptional ability to manage details
iv. Ability to meet deadlines and to anticipate needs
v. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
vi. Be available for at least 10 hours a week
vii. Currently enrolled student (or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree)
viii. Understands and can utilize emerging platforms, digital media, and web/social media management
