Social Media Intern
Here's your chance to be a part of a small, yet effective award-winning digital marketing agency headquartered in Laurel, Maryland. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience in our fall internship program.
Our boutique agency supports politicians, real estate agents, radio personalities, personal chefs, authors and other entrepreneurs with multi-faceted, strategic communications, both external and internal. This includes online communications, public relations, web design, social media marketing and graphic design services. The digital marketing intern reports directly to the CEO. NO CALLS PLEASE.
· Part-time (10 hours/week) internship
· Unpaid (Course Credit)
· Duration: Up to 4 weeks beginning immediately (start date and end date is negotiable)

Responsibilities and Duties
Work approximately 10 hours a week in the Laurel Office.
Participate in weekly check-in meetings to shape digital marketing strategy.
Contribute content to client's blogs and social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
Assist in the development of social media editorial calendars.
Assist with live social media marketing on-site during evening and weekend events.
Assist in designing and distributing e-blast messages to client's list serve.
Assist in designing marketing materials.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong communication and writing skills.
Social media savvy. Must have an intimate knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
Detail-oriented and well-organized work style.
Creativity, resourcefulness, and strong problem-solving skills.
Applicant must be at least a college junior or senior or pursuing an undergraduate degree in journalism, English, communications, marketing, public relations, digital marketing, political science or a related area. NO CALLS PLEASE.
