Graphic/Web Design Intern

Position Title: Part-Time Graphic/Web Design Intern

We are an established entertainment technology startup seeking an extremely motivated, talented and creative intern to collaborate closely with our team on designing new graphics and UX elements for a series of existing client applications. Our clients include major and entertainment properties such as the LA Lakers, Katy Perry, Matchbox 20, NY Giants). The scope of work is to redesign the in-app graphics for which you will have many templates/examples to draw from.

The candidate needs to be proficient with photoshop and have some experience working with responsive social applications. The ideal candidate would also possess some web programming skills, but that's not a requirement.

This is an in-house job, candidate must be able to work onsite(Currently located in Hollywood).

Web Design Qualifications:
An up-to-date portfolio illustrating your work
Strong focus on visual design, brand identity and web design
Manage your own schedule and deliver upon deadlines
Excellent time management skills
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in photoshop
Pixel perfect design
Experienced with multiple design tools including Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, etc
Strong communication and cooperation skills! We believe in a healthy and uplifting work environment so we are seeking a friendly and determined team player :)
Basic understanding of development concepts (html, css, java)
Willingness to learn and try new things.
Experience with motion design and video editing is a plus.
Experience with 3D software and design is a plus
Strong organization skills and effective communications


Graphic Design Qualifications:
2+ years Web development experience
Excellent knowledge of front-end web development - XHTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Flash and JavaScript-based libraries
Experience with back-end web development - PHP, PHP frameworks, MySQL, XML, and other modern web technologies, protocols, and services related to Facebook/Twitter/Instagram API's
Ability to write code that is clear, well-commented, free of errors and easy to maintain
Debug and troubleshoot layout and scripting issues across a variety of browsers in pc, mobile and tablet.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Adobe Photoshop,
Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization;
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities;
Highly creative thinker who can spot trends and develop strategies;
Good time-management skills;
Effective communications skills;
Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage a project independently.
