Internship

Humansave is a nonprofit that provides specialized trauma informed, client-centered treatment to victims and survivors of human trafficking, CSEC (commercial sexual exploitation of children), and other violent crimes throughout LA, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

Our rigorous clinical internship program employs a unique mentorship approach to provide associate marriage and family therapists with the skills necessary to transition from pre-licensed to knowledgeable licensed professionals. As one of the few mental health service providers that specializes in serving human trafficking and CSEC survivors, our clinicians have the unique opportunity to help pave the way for others in this field. We love working with individuals who are diligent, genuinely compassionate, and dedicated to our mission to end human trafficking.

This is a 8-10hr/week, one year internship; job offer contingent on 90 day probationary period. We work with clients ages 2+ with a history of trauma related to human trafficking, child sexual exploitation, childhood sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Besides providing mental health treatment, our clinical interns will have the opportunity to hone document writing skills, attend and facilitate relevant trainings, and connect with other professionals in the field.

Some of our community partners and referral sources include: The Dept of Homeland Security, LA County Sheriffs, the Dept of Mental Health, the Dept of Children and Family Services, City of Gardena, LA Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, the Long Beach HT Task Force (of which we are core team members), Gems Uncovered, Saving Innocence, CAST, and many more
