Media Communications Intern

Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly motivated Media Communications Intern to join us either remotely or in our Washington, D.C. office. As the Media Communications Intern, you are a vital part of the Media & Advocacy Communications. In this role, you will report to Sr. Strategic Communications Manager and assist the Social Media Manager with crafting social media campaign strategies for cases and monitor public response to posts on social media platforms. Attend media training sessions with attorneys and clients, and will have the opportunity to write for ADF”s blog. The intern will also assist in other public relations projects and events. This internship provides a great introduction to the public relations world for someone who is considering exploring a career in public relations, policy, or the law.

Your Essential Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

Assisting in crafting social media campaign strategies
Assist in monitoring social media responses to posts on social media platforms
Attend media training sessions with attorneys and clients
Writing opportunities for ADF’s blog

Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential):

You will be asked to perform related duties or special projects as assigned.

Skills you need to succeed:

Knowledge of:

Journalism, Public Policy, Law, Government, Public Relations, or Strategic Communications

Demonstrated proficiency in:

Education and/or experience:

Current college student interested in journalism, media, or communications work.
Must receive college credit for internship.
