Job Description
The Sheppard is an Independent, Innovative Marketing Agency providing marketing materials, experiential events, advertising, and unique media solutions to a number of lifestyle brands. We think differently and provide non-traditional marketing solutions with a heavy focus on entertainment, fashion, and wellness to our clients. Our creative workspace is located in Glendale. Some of our clients include: Wolfgang Puck, cabi, Legends Hospitality, NBC4, OUE Sky Space, ColourPop, Pet Supplies Plus.

Our agency is looking for interns who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and video & event production through our 3-5 month internship program. You’ll play a supporting role in daily agency operations, brand, product & current trend research, proposal development, and the possibility of production shoots and events. By the end of the internship program, our hope is that you would have learned how to effectively communicate within a creative business atmosphere, balance several deliverables and tasks at any given, and understand marketing agency structure & processes.

Graphic Design experience is also a plus, though not required, as interns with appropriate skill level have the opportunity to assist with design projects, such as developing promotional art with the agency's design team.

Requirements for Internship:

Computer savvy and proficient on MAC
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Keynote, and Google Docs
Available to work at least 3 days a week
Have a personal laptop, cell phone and car
Desired Qualifications:

Strong background in writing
Knowledge of social media websites: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter
Knowledge of current events and pop culture
Articulate, mature, personable, and professional (i.e. you may have opportunities to attend meetings, phone conferences, and presentations)
Detail-oriented and meticulous
Problem-solver, independent, confident to ask for guidance when needed
Goal-oriented, driven, determined, consistent, open-minded, and passionate
Eager to learn about the fields of business, marketing, and communications
Able to multi-task
Able to work well independently and in group settings

Insight into what a day looks like as an intern at The Sheppard:

Help with administrative tasks; cleaning, paperwork, inputting data to address books, organizing data
Assist accounts team with research for current clients, new business, and case studies. Including but not limited to: trends, demographics, and cultural events.
Potential for onsite work; assisting on photo-shoots, craft services, video assistance, etc.
Running errands

**This is a research and trend analysis focused internship.

Internships are a minimum of 3-4 months and 3 days per week remotely.
Office hours: 9am-6pm (remotely)
