Title: Marketing & Communications Intern
Location: Boulder, CO area

Come join our team and help us grow! Community Fruit Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that harvests the surplus fruit growing throughout Boulder�s urban areas during September-November each year. Our harvests take place each day in the form of fun community events that support our larger goals of reducing food waste, protecting wildlife like black bears, building resilient communities, minimizing greenhouse gas emissions, and directing fresh food to people who need it.

Marketing & Communications Intern (Summer/Fall 2022) �
Develop and implement strategies to grow the organization by raising awareness among our homeowners, volunteers, and donors.
Assist in setting up an annual marketing plan for the organization to implement.

This position will also be given exposure to the entire Community Fruit Rescue organization, including the ability to join fruit harvests in the fall. The expectation is that interns will contribute 6-8 hours per week, and hours/schedules are flexible. This is a remote position, no office work is required.

Recommended background:
Area of study or life experience including Marketing/Communications/Public Relations recommended.
Strong understanding of data manipulation, contact management tools, and social media.
Aptitude and interest in drafting professional communications including emails and other marketing messages.
A positive attitude and the ability to work independently. We are a small non-profit organization and are growing quickly. We prefer someone who can thrive in this environment.
Reliable and responsive to feedback.
Talent/experience in graphic design/website design is a plus.
