Legal Intern

The Law Offices of Martin E. Restituyo, P.C. was founded in 2014 and focuses on legal matters pertaining to General Business Law, Commercial Litigation, International Representation, and Employment and Labor Law. The majority of firm’s litigation load is split evenly between Federal Court (SDNY and EDNY) and New York Supreme Court. About five percent of our case load is appellate practice. The non-litigation arm of the firm focuses on contracts, general corporate compliance and asset protection. The office is located on 6th Avenue and 54th Street.

Position: Legal Intern

Some of the duties for interns include:
• Observation of court proceedings, interview and conferences
• Digest case records
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memorandum of law
• Draft legal documents (i.e. notice of entry, orders to produce, memorandums of law)
• Draft client correspondence
• Draft communications
• Second seat attorney during trial (note taking, gathering and distributing exhibits)
• Obtain and copy court files
• A variety of administrative tasks including filing and scheduling interviews

Position Requirements

The successful intern applicants will have the following skills:

• Proficiency with Word, Excel and other software preferred.

Hour Requirements:
Fall/Spring: a minimum of 20 hours/week
