POCAAN DIGITAL MARKETING INTERNSHIP

POCAAN, formally known as People of Color Against AIDS Network is in search of eager college students who want to gain experience in the Public Health sector as a part of our Health Messaging & Marketing Team!

Description:
As a part of the Marketing/Health Messaging Team, you will assist with the day-to-day promotions of our health equity issues for the agency. You will work with our program managers to define their digital audience, with an emphasis on social media and digital marketing. You will also work closely with the department on the creative process of brainstorming and developing marketing campaigns. Our goal is to mentor interns on the best practices in digital marketing for a career in the health equity industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize social media best practices to post content across agency platforms.
- Stay up to date on the latest releases, announces, and marketing initiatives.
- Set up official announcements and daily posts, etc.
- Create statistical reports using tools such as Facebook Insights.
- Create content for POCAAN's monthly newsletter and Podcast.
- Collaborate with the team to develop creative ways to expand the brand name to our online following.
- Attend and contribute to marketing and staff meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:
- May be able to receive college credit for this internship.
- Must be able to work from and around Seattle/King County area.
- Eagerness to learn + ability to multitask, and complete assignments according to deadlines.
- Strong understanding of social media, streaming services, and popular music publications.

It would be music to our ears if you:
- Have Podcast experience
- Have basic HTML knowledge
- Have Photoshop experience
- Have video editing experience (iMovie, Final Cut Pro).
- Are interested in learning the above.
