Lugha Translation Services is looking for potential interns for students in Business, Marketing, Management, Accounting, and other related Majors.
About us:
Lugha Translation Services is an immigrant-owned Language startup in Manchester, NH.
Lugha is the Swahili word for �language.� Lugha is committed to building bridges between different cultures, traditions, and ways of life.
Lugha was founded by a New American who came to the United States in 2012 for a better life.
Arnold has established himself as a community leader, changing the narrative and outcomes of immigrants in New Hampshire. He chose New Hampshire as his new home because he believed he had a chance to make his imprint and make New Hampshire the State he knew it had the potential to become.
One of the challenges he identified was the language barrier hindering immigrants and refugee families from fully integrating and excelling in their new homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for students looking for school credit or exploring a potential career in the language business. Students who intentionally make our community a welcoming and vibrating place for everyone.
Qualifications:
� Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
� Excellent organizational and time management skills
� Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
� Dynamic and curious students willing to leverage their knowledge and creative thinking
� Open-minded about working with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) customers and Language Service Providers (LSPs).
� Strong writing and computer skills
� Reliable transportation and a valid Driver�s License
� Bilingual and multilingual are encouraged to apply but are not required
� Business, Marketing, Management, and leadership knowledge is a plus
� Fluent with Canvas, Adobe, and Photoshop
Responsibility:
� Familiarize yourself with our scheduling platform
� Supporting the Project Manager with interpreter scheduling
� Assign projects to translators
� Working with the team to design marketing tools, and strategies
� Manage and create social media content
