Company description: Design Source International is a growing Bedding and Home Textile Design and Marketing Company based in North Dallas/Carrollton area. We partner with high profile retailers across the United States in order to provide quilts, decorative pillows, throws, sheets, table linens, bedding accessories and more.

Job description: We are currently seeking an intern to fill an Inventory & Data Entry Associate position to assist our E-Commerce / Sales teams.
This paid internship offers hands-on experience in a wholesale/retail work environment and can lead to career opportunities in management. You will have the opportunity to learn e-commerce management, account set-up, account management, inventory management, basic store operations, and gain management skills, as well as increase knowledge in a variety of key business topics such as profit and loss, inventory control, and human resources. Interns will also be exposed to Design Source International professionals in a variety of functional areas. You'll gain insight on a career in e-commerce management by working closely with our team. To join our Intern Program, you must have demonstrated leadership ability, as well as work experience in customer service and/or sales.

Responsibilities include:
• Ability to work full time for duration of the internship
• Responsible for updating e-commerce inventory extranets daily
• Responsible for tracking sales in real time
• Responsible for updating specific detailed data tracking reports
• Demonstrates high proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel (ability to create, update and format data for tracking and reporting)
• Inputs detailed item attribute information/enrichment to create and track items
• Communicates with E-Commerce manager on discrepancies across extranets
• Ensures item descriptions, copy, and photography are excellent across all extranets
• Maintains item updates and adjustments across all extranets
• Demonstrates ability and flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Helps determine which items sell best across different extranets, and communicates suggestions of changes to be made to best enhance daily sales
• Assists in analyzing data and sales reports to boost profit across all extranets
• Assists with overall organization and maintenance extranets
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Reading and fully understanding all vendor manuals, guides, and requirements as needed
• Performs administrative and other tasks as needed

Ideal candidate will possess:
• Strong software/computer skills, particularly MS Office and advanced Excel
• Previous experience in retail, service or other fast paced environments
• Must be analytical, articulate, and organized
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Strong follow up and follow through to make sure all tasks are taken to full completion
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of his/her work
• Team player with the ability to partner with others to create solutions
• Ability to learn on the fly – learns quickly when facing new problems, open to change, improves, enjoys challenges and finding solutions
