Interior Design Interns

Toscano Interiors is looking for Interior Design Interns for the upcoming holiday season. We are a innovative interior design firm that specializes in helping our clients create a conscious relationship with their spaces. We also have mastered the art of home staging working with some of the top Real Estate Agents in our State, and also offer design services related to new construction, renovation, store merchandising, and workshops.


Toscano Interiors is an family owned and operated interior design company. From its humble beginnings in 2011, small design jobs and repurposing furniture, Toscano Interiors has grown to take on more ambitious creative projects. Our retail showroom is open to the public daily; offering furniture, home decor, gifts, and monthly workshops


Provide design assistance to lead designer. Assist with organization of resource library, participate in preparations for client presentations and meetings, shadow for on-site meetings and retail store as needed.


Assist lead designer with projects when applicable. Client and job site visits and assisting with field measurements and note-taking. Support lead designer by ordering fabric & finish samples and requesting pricing from furniture and fabric reps. Research product alternatives for client projects, client follow up, and merchandising.


Self-directed but asks questions to learn and problem solve. Learns and advances from experiences and feedback. Owns execution of tasks and demonstrates excellent follow through. Communicates and listens effectively


Must be currently enrolled in an accredited interior design program (1 year or less), high school students can apply if they are part of a school program like DECA or FBLA, to receive college credit (if applies) Desire to learn and work hard. Ability to take direction well and be a team player. Reside locally and have own transportation to Colorado Springs/Security.


Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, and Sketch Up a plus (but not necessary). Previous customer service experience both in person and over the phone. General understanding of office procedures related to faxing, filing, courier services, etc.


This internship is currently designed to be a temporary, unpaid internship not to exceed 10 hours a week, a 3-month long commitment. This internship will be within Colorado Springs, CO, but some travel may be needed. Weekly hours and schedule will vary depending on the intern’s schedule of availability and company work load. The internship is an “at will” employment and may be terminated at any time by either party. While this job description accurately represents the current primary duties of the role, functions may be adapted as necessary to meet business need.
