Health Policy Intern
The Global Liver Institute (GLI) is seeking a Health Policy Intern interested in gaining experience in a non-profit patient advocacy organization. GLI is focused on advancing the cause of liver health and increasing the capacity of liver health advocates in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, social impact environment.
The Health Policy Intern would support the creation of a monthly policy newsletter of original and curated content widely read by health thought-leaders and advocates, participate in conducting original research on current events and state legislation. Additionally, he or she will be in help in the planning of a Hill Day.
The Health Policy Intern should have or be working toward a bachelors or masters degree. Ideally, the intern should have a major or strong interest in public health, public policy, patient advocacy, health policy, law, or a related field.
This internship is unpaid. A travel stipend will be available to all interns and this internship may be used for academic credit. The internship will be located at the GLI office in Washington, DC. We currently are located at one of many WeWork locations in the city. This internship will require about 10 hours of work per week. Hours and start and end date are negotiable.
