Graphic Designer Internship

Boutique art brand seeks all-star graphic designer to join a small team of Brooklyn-based creatives. 

We are: 
A dynamic team, led by abstract artist Max Makewell

You are:
A visionary brand designer with a great attitude and even better portfolio. A fluid communicator with a strong intuition and sense of aesthetic. Self-motivated, design-obsessed, and highly capable. 

The role: 
–Work closely with the artist to create a cohesive and systemic visual language for the Makewell Art brand and to collaborate on all visual collateral. You should have the talent and skill to create symbology, patterns, and products which support the Makewell Art brand
–Collaborate with the Makewell marketing and design teams on high-quality and conceptual graphics for print and digital activations, including: marketing materials, landing pages, infographics, newsletters, presentations, and video content
–Strategize on visuals for upcoming gallery shows and edition launches 
–Manage multiple projects at once and be open to providing multiple design concepts per project

The requirements: 
–Experience in creative design, multimedia, visual arts, visual communication, or a related field
–Fluency in all relevant design software: Adobe CS, to start
–Experience working with typography and logo design
–Experience creating promotional materials– brochures, newsletters, and catalogs 
–Strong communication skills– we’re a small team, so being articulate and accessible is critical for success
–Ability to think outside of the box and explore creative solutions to challenges that arise
