Goal

accesSOS is a tech nonprofit organization on a mission to make emergency help accessible. Our vision is communication access for all. We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer that can help our team find grant opportunities to increase our finding and further our mission.

Project Description

Working in collaboration with our Database Manager and Development Consultant to find, draft, and revise grant proposals. This role is writing focused and requires the ability to 1) understand grant requirements and focus areas, 2) go through previous grant submissions to draft new proposals tailored to the grant requirements and focus areas, and 3) work with our Database Manager and Development Consultant to communicate edits and changes for ultimate submission.

We are based out of San Francisco, we have flexible hours and we love working from anywhere in the world.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Database Manager and Development Consultant to:

Write clear and compelling grant proposals that take into account funder priorities and requirements.
Draft grant reports that accurately reflect the programmatic work conducted with received funding.
Qualifications:

Comfortable using Google Drive and the rest of the G-Suite Solutions
Preferred experience using Asana or similar Project Management tool
Preferred experience using Slack or similar team collaboration tool
Excellent writing and communication skills in English
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with distinct teams across the organization, as well as communicate efforts effectively
