COMPANY OVERVIEW
Holly Wong Consulting, LLC provides event & project management for nonprofits in the Greater Sacramento region. The current portfolio includes virtual events, in-person galas, auctions, webinars, conferences, program planning, project management, and more.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Events Intern will report directly to principal consultant Holly Wong, and will have the opportunity to work with multiple events, projects, and clients. The internship will be customized to existing skills, experience, and interests of the Intern.
The internship is:
� September � December 2021, with the possibility of starting in August if the right candidate is found and available. (Based on UC Davis calendar)
� Paid at $16/hour
� Primarily remote
� 8-12 hours per week, schedule flexible

RESPONSIBILITIES
� Research vendors, trends, and resources
� Assist with event logistic management (e.g. budgets, to-do lists, contact lists)
� Assist with developing marketing materials for events including social media, graphics, and written content
� Support data entry in event software such as Greater Giving, Paybee, Handbid
� Attend client meetings as needed
� On-site event support (set up, vendor coordination, volunteer management, registration, stage program, clean up)
� Draft post-event reports and analysis


QUALIFICATIONS
� Undergraduate student in Yolo or Sacramento counties
� Strong verbal and written communication skills
� Deadline-oriented with strong time management skills
� Must have dependable computer and internet access
� Familiarity with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Canva strongly preferred
� Transportation available for meetings and events in Davis, Woodland, and Sacramento
� Available for occasional evenings or weekends, scheduled in advance
� Physical Requirements: Occasionally requires on-site event support including long periods of standing, ability to move quickly through venues, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
