Event Planning Assistant

For over 15 years our creative & talented team at WOW! Events has produced thousands of extraordinary events. We specialize in Corporate Events, Private Client Events and High School Events. With over 50 years of combined experience we help with catering, venue rental and full-service A-Z production. WOW! Events has hundreds of unique venues and many are hidden gems. Our vast inventory of impressive entertainment & décor options will leave employees, clients & guests talking about your event long after it ends.

Event Production Intern will work directly with the Event Producer Assistant/Coordinator. They will assist in producing our events that happen year-round. Interns will be trained in event sales support & planning support and in the execution of events. Interns will see the A-Z process of event planning and become knowledgeable about many venues WOW! Events use.

• Unpaid Internship, College Credited
• Minimum of 20 hours a week
• Work Hours (Monday-Friday 8:30AM – 5:30PM)
• Some weekends if needed


1. New Venue Research
2. New Venue Qualification
3. Find Impressive Photos of Priority venues WOW! Sells
4. Cold Calling to Schedule Prospect Meetings
5. Create Sales Power Point Presentations
6. Send Thank you/Nice Meeting You Cards
7. Assist in Preparation of Planning Meetings
8. Assist in Preparation of Sales Meetings
9. Create Proposals for Future Events
10. New Vendor Research
11. New Vendor Qualification
12. Create Floor Plans using Social Tables
13. Miscellaneous Research
14. Find short videos related to our 15 WOW! Basics

1. High School Diploma with some course work in college
2. Must be enrolled in a course that requires course credit
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
4. Must have Driver Licenses and Vehicle for Transportation
5. Must be Detail Oriented
6. Willing to adhere to our WOW! Basics
7. Must be able to Multi-Task
8. Must Have a Good Work Ethic
9. Must be Willing to Engage, Learn, and Have Fun
10. Should be able to work independently as well as a team
