Event Management
We are Club Urban Diversion, a social and active club located in the most beautiful city in the world, San Francisco. We are offering two Hospitality and Events internships for 2022 for current and graduated students. These positions offer an incredible and unique experience in Event Management and Marketing.
Urban Diversion is the Bay Area’s premier activities club. We give our members a more exciting social life and a way to broaden their social circle by providing a wide variety of exciting activities and a fun way to meet other people and expand your network. UD members are active professionals in their 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s! We have around 20-25 events and trips every month. They range from adventure to cultural, to social experiences! Our members don’t have to plan a thing – just show up and have a great time!
Marketing Management
This intern will work directly with senior management in executing a variety of both offline and online membership drive campaigns. This is not a typical internship as you will be given the opportunity to make a positive difference in Urban Diversion’s marketing department by taking on real responsibilities!
Preferred fields of study: Marketing, Business, administration
You will work directly with senior management in executing a variety of both offline and online membership drive campaigns. You are still required to plan and execute fun events, but your main-focus will be marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collateral development
• Aiding in creating weekly/monthly newsletter
• Posting events
• Measuring and managing campaign follow-ups
• Weekly competitive analysis reports, to stay abreast of our competitors
• Creating paid Facebook/Instagram Ad campaigns
• A/B testing and analysis
• Assistance in weekend events
• Have fun!
Event Management
This intern will work directly with senior management in defining events strategies, planning and execution. The intern will get experience in executing events from start to finish and managing the financial aspects of said events.
Preferred fields of study: Event Management, Tourism, Hospitality, Recreation, Leisure
This job is an active, full-time challenge that is a lot of fun. It also involves a lot of hard work and total dedication to success. You will be creating, organizing, and conducting all kinds of social events from hiking/camping to wine tasting to pub crawls to skydiving for our members. You will need to be a leader and be able to host a group of people in their upper 20’s, 30’s, 40's. This is a chance for you to grow as a person both professionally and personally. As an intern you will be able to get real management experience. This is a very unique and valuable opportunity in one of the most beautiful locations in the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Brainstorming ideas for upcoming calendars
• Planning events
• Event Research
• Publishing 20-25 events per month
• Drive membership
• Vendor Sourcing and partnership initiation
• Coordinating with other event coordinators and eventually becoming the manager of the group
• Have fun!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR BOTH POSITIONS
Our ideal intern:
- Will be over 21 years of age and very mature.
- Will love working and communicating with people across many different cultures and backgrounds
- You have experience in customer service and/or sales.
- Extremely outgoing personality… “Social butterfly”
- Creative activity planner
- Social media prowess
- Experience in event coordination
- Excellent oral and writing skills
- Well-traveled and has been abroad and experienced multiple foreign cultures.
- Have experience in the outdoors and are able to sustain yourself in an outdoor setting for days at a time.
- Have a strong leadership abilities.
- Can be working on multiple projects at once and quickly switch gears to give attention to whatever needs to be prioritized
- Follows directions closely
- MS Word, Photoshop, Excel, Internet Savvy (HTML is a plus, not required)
Interns must commit to opportunity for one year
-Full-time position at San Francisco Office
-Attendance at incredible activities throughout California
-Monthly Stipend
-Temporary housing
