Principals Brian and Rosi Amador are the primary voice talents, along with their part-time talent, young adult daughter Alisa Amador. They record for clients globally, including Disney, L’Oreal, McDonalds, ------------, Comcast, PBS, CDC, Expedia Travel, Spotify, Lonely Planet, Mattress Firm, NASA, Houghton Mifflin & Harcourt, IronMan, the Smithsonian and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. From their broadcast-quality professional home studio, equipped with remote studio recording options, the Amadors record commercials, web videos, eLearning modules, commercials for TV and radio, corporate narrations, industrials, animations, children's audiobooks, explainer videos, audio tours, and more.

Skills required:
You must be an excellent communicator, having excellent oral and written skills in English as well as being self-motivated, independent, organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. Excellent customer service skills and a good phone manner required. Must have experience with Apple computers and social media. Experience with sound recording (Digital Performer and Twisted Wave used in the studio) is strongly encouraged, and experience with web/email marketing programs, and customer-relationship management is helpful. You should have an inquisitive nature and must be a positive team player, yet work well independently when assigned a self-directed project.

Job description:
You will primarily work closely with principals Rosi Amador and Brian Amador, as well as Senior Engineer Steven Hopkins, recording and editing voiceover projects, creating voiceover demos, and editing videos of commercials and web videos to upload to YouTube and social media to highlight and promote ABVO talent. Projects sometimes include overdubs into Spanish that must be synchronized to the original video in a different language. When the studio is less busy, your focus will be on marketing and communications, with tasks including updating and maintaining social media presences (Facebook, Instagram,Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube), creating and updating marketing email campaigns, updating profiles on international voice-casting websites, identifying new sites for voiceover actors, and identifying and contacting potential U.S. and international media producer clients who work with voice talent. The primary language used in our business is English, with occasional incoming calls and emails in Spanish.

What you can expect:
You will handle all aspects of engineering and providing customer service for a full-time voiceover business in a professional private studio and office. You will learn to pursue, contract and service bookings with media producers for major brands on the regional, local, national, and international levels. We also provide original music compositions to clients, another side of the business which you will help us develop.

Skills you will be practically applying and/or learning include those necessary for a career in: voiceover, sales, public relations, promotion, marketing, and entrepreneurship. This job puts you in constant contact with a wide range of clients including studio owners, production companies, video and audio tour production and advertising companies, casting agents, as well as for-profit and non-profit companies looking for talent to feature on the web, TV and radio commercials. In addition to voiceovers, the Amadors are also Latin musicians. The newest division of ABVO is a music/production offering producers music beds for their voiceovers. Engaging work in a comfortable, friendly home office and studio in North Cambridge.
