Welcome Desk Representative
BodyBusiness Fitness is searching for extremely energetic, responsible, fitness minded individuals to provide exceptional customer service. We are a locally owned gym that has been in the Austin area for 30+ years.
We are currently looking for one candidate for our opening shifts starting at 5:15am. Shifts are from 5:15 am until 12 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 30 hours a week with frequent opportunities to pick up extra shifts. There may be availability for more part time work as well so don't hesitate to apply.
Please take notice that this is an early morning position. These shifts require a candidate that is "On" at 5:00am in the morning. You will be opening our doors each morning so reliability is crucial. You'll be the first person that our members interact with each day so being awake, happy, outgoing and delivering the energy to every member each morning is imperative.
The ideal applicant should be very outgoing, positive, mature, well organized, hard working multi-tasker with great people skills, and a healthy, neat appearance that brings a great deal of energy to the gym each and every shift. Being outgoing is imperative as you will be interacting with members throughout the entirety of the shift. If you have ever been interested in breaking into the fitness industry this would be a great start. We are looking for long term employees. Most of the current employees have been with the gym anywhere from 5 to 25 years.
Maintains and continually improves the standards of member service.
Follows up and resolves all member and guest issues.
Works closely with the membership to ensure all walk-in prospective members are promptly greeted and given a thorough tour of the club.
Maintains and collects member information, including address changes, new member data, payments, past due accounts and membership change requests.
Assists in administrative tasks including scanning, and data entry of client records as well as inventory controls and food and merchandise ordering.
Responds to member inquiries regarding BodyBusiness programs, products, services, policies, and procedures in a professional and timely manner.
Ensures front desk cash drawer is properly closed and balanced each day.
Provides great service to members and guests by answering phone calls, setting appointments, greeting upon arrival and departure.
Maintains professional front desk and reception area.
Assists in maintaining cleanliness of weight room floor, locker rooms, and common areas.
Various duties as assigned by Management.
Attends and participates in all general and team meetings.
Maintains a polished a professional image.
Strong customer service and leadership skills.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
Excellent computer skills with the ability to master new programs quickly.
Ability to creatively problem-solve and remain calm during challenging situations.
Ability to organize multiple projects and tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
Able to handle a fast-paced, varied and busy work environment while maintaining a even-tempered and professional demeanor.
Must be hands-on, team-oriented; attentive to detail and to overarching goals and able to thrive in a time-pressured environment.
Accuracy and discretion are essential.
Experience in membership sales, retail, and/or experience in the beauty/wellness, fitness, or tanning industry is a plus
MindBody experience a definite plus.

Required license or certification:
CPR/AED within 3 months of hire, Drivers License
