We're looking for an entrepreneurial, confident, and resourceful person as our Digital Marketing Intern + Culture Agent. This internship will combine a course of study with marketing projects to give you the experience to lead and execute marketing campaigns and get started in growth hacking for startups.
The internship is based in Downtown Miami, will be partially remote, and will generally accommodate your schedule. The expected hours per week are a flexible 15-25 for a duration of 12 weeks in total.
The intern will be working within a growing Sales and Marketing department in a startup environment, in a role that requires creativity, data analysis, and the ability to succeed in social media marketing. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and must be willing to learn from others and be an expert self-manager. Ready to take on the opportunity?
What you’ll do ... Areas of Impact
Measure and report performance of SEO and SEM campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
Work with team to execute digital marketing including email, social media, content, and display advertising marketing.
Contribute to the designing, building, and maintenance of our social media presence, offering suggestions for creating digital branding and engagement.
Evaluate and curate effective marketing tech and internet traction channels. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
Identify trends and insights, and receive training that you will implement in your intern tasks and brainstorming.
Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion campaigns as an internship project.
Collaborate with internal and external team to create landing pages and optimize user experience and funnels.
What you'll need to be successful...
Junior or Senior Preferred working towards a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related degree
3.0 GPA Min (exceptions can be made if clearly communicated as to reason)
Have taken at least 9 Cr of related coursework w/ B+ or better (exceptions can be made if clearly communicated as to reason)
Sample works & portfolio may be requested (works provided are the sole property and under the authorship of the applicant)
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a big plus
Beyond traditional schooling, the ideal candidate will have an Entrepreneurial Mindset and be ready to contribute to overall business growth. Your voice will have an impact here.
1+ years of marketing, UX/UI design, and/or graphic design experience (internship, co-op, part/full-time work exp., volunteering etc.) strongly preferred. Experience in a service or tech company is a big plus.
Technical Skill: Interns must be able to access a personal computer to communicate and work with a webcam, MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and with the capability to access and create online multimedia (audio, video, Flash).
Web Design: Understanding the foundations of HTML, CSS, and PHP is desired
Software: Experience with popular digital marketing software is desired: Infusionsoft, Buffer, Social Pilot, Hubspot, Google Analytics, and/or Wordpress experience will put you ahead of the game
Able, willing, and excited to learn, master, and apply knowledge in new software
Be able to maximize the use of all technology available to perform all functions of the role to the needs of the business
Effective project management knowledge and skills
Character + Soft Skills: Successful interns will be focused, self-motivated, people-centric, and intellectually curious with demonstrated ability to create, analyze, and optimize.
Must have strong leadership, communication (oral and written), organizational, and customer service skills.
Must be personable and assertive as needed but with a measured and high level of emotional intelligence with the ability to gain the trust of peers, customers, team members, and community.
Confidence, skill, and patience to be able to effectively communicate solutions, vision, and values to team members, partners, and client base.
