directed by the chef. These duties include but are not limited to preparation of soups and

farm vegetable side dishes, short order cooking, dish washing, and advance preparation of

food items in accordance with production requirements. These processes must be held to

our quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment, ensuring quality

and consistency by following recipes and production and portion guidelines.

Interns will also participate in special events. Multi-course plated dinners are scheduled over

the season and interns may take a larger role in each subsequent dinner. Other events

throughout the season may include hors d’oeuvres displays, pig roasts, and casual buffets.

other areas of the farm. Assignment to specific areas will be based on your interests/goals

and farm needs. This will be discussed in depth during the interview process.

skills and knowledge of proper sanitation and safety practices. Interns need to be prepared

for a challenge and to take on a significant degree of responsibility in our fast-paced kitchen.

fluctuating business due to seasonality.

Your primary focus will be working in the fast paced kitchen with a weekly opportunity to

work in other areas of the farm; vegetable production, vineyard, brewery, canning kitchen

and farmer’s markets. You will have the opportunity to learn a variety of aspects of farming.

Learning objectives will be provided for each area of the farm. Reading and viewing of

videos may be suggested in some areas.
