We are building a movement to show the possibility of New York through a digital media start-up. We are seeking a creative and innovative Consumer Public Relations Intern with an ear to the ground in multiple communities who is gritty, scrappy, and refuses to take no for an answer. Someone who is eager to think outside the box to make the impossible happen. We are a high-energy, multi-disciplinary organization focused on improving total quality of life in New York City by championing evidence-based progressive policies.

The Consumer Public Relations Intern will work with stakeholders across the organization to create a cohesive, comprehensive digital media strategy. At their core, the Consumer Public Relations Intern should be a gifted story-teller willing to break from conventions. Good candidates will be adaptable, life-long learners who are willing to sometimes fail but learn quickly from their mistakes. The best candidates will have deep ties to New York City’s progressive community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Media relations with consumer and lifestyle press to advance organization goals.
Develop and implement strategies for growing and targeting reach, awareness and impact.
Write and disseminate content about the organizations activities.
Respond to media inquiries and develop relationships with media outlets.
Coordinate closely with the social media and editorial teams.
