Bakery Assistant Intern
HaleLife Bakery is a dedicated gluten-free, vegan and allergen friendly bakery. We specialize in gourmet desserts including cupcakes, donuts, brownies and special occasion cakes. Our goal is to provide safe and delicious desserts for those living with food restrictions whether it be allergies, intolerances, diseases or a lifestyle choice.
We are currently in search of a bakery assistant & cake decorator to help us with back of the house production for wholesale order fulfillment plus front of the house support with customers. This is a part time position but has the potential to grow add hours as we grow and during the holidays.
Bakery production including baking cupcakes, donuts, brownies, cookies, muffins and cakes
Helping clean tables, floors, dishes and take out trash
Front counter support including:
Assisting customers with orders
Checking people out
Taking cake orders
Keeping front bakery space clean
Restocking baked goods – FIFO/removing old products
Assembling bakery boxes
One year of working in a professional bakery or production kitchen
Baking specialty gluten-free or vegan products
Basic cake decorating skills – piping bags, garnishing, etc
Empathy for those living a food restrictive lifestyle
Customers service with tough demanding customers
Basic baking skills including measuring, mixing, prepping
Efficient, fast worker
Attention to detail and independent thinker
Pride and sense of ownership in work completed
Trustworthy, reliable and dependent
Shift Days & Hours - Thursdays and Friday from 2pm to 7pm.
Training Days & Hours - Three weeks - Thursdays & Fridays from 9am to 2pm.

Salary: $10.00 /hour
