Avionics Software Designer (drone)
internships are open as of 02/02/2022 at Sabrewing Aircraft located at the Hayward Executive Airport, CA. We are making the large drones for civilian and military aerospace customers.
Candidates will need a solid foundation in software development, C/C++ python etc... for embedded systems, possibly with some arduino coding experience, for microcontrollers, sensors, flight controls, RC projects.
knowledge of serial buses and related protocols will be a plus : Serial RS232, CAN, lin, S-Bus, Ethernet, USB etc...
ideal candidates would have built RC projects including motor control, flight control, battery management, ground station control, video distribution, autonomous navigation. Experience in building full scale EV, and high-voltage systems, is also appreciated.
positions are open right away, local candidates will be preferable (the company doesn't provide any relocation or lodging benefits).
Any application, from candidates who are not fully covid-19 vaccinated, will be automatically discarded, as our company has had to enforce a company mandate.
