Alternative Education Internship
Unwritten Roads, Maine's newest Creative Writing workshop for young adults, is inviting one motivated college student to join our small team this summer.
We are a small, women-run business focused on creative writing and filmmaking education for school-age children in Southern Maine. During the summers we facilitate creative camps, after-camp programming and weekend-long workshops.
This summer we're inviting one college student to join our team as a Programs Intern. We looking for someone organized, passionate about teaching, and fluent in social media marketing and photography.
This is an unpaid internship.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-Experience working with school-age children, ages 7-14 years old.
We are a multi-age program and require our interns have experience working with kids. Please do not apply unless you have previous experience working with school-age children.
-Experience managing social media marketing campaigns (or relevant coursework)
Our Programs intern will be responsible for documenting and publicizing updates from our summer. They will take on leaderships roles across our platforms which include Facebook, Instagram, and our website. Preference will be given to candidates with experience running successful social media and marketing campaigns.
-Experience in filmmaking, editing, design or photography
We primarily teach screenwriting and film production courses in the summer, so preference will be given to candidates with experience in filmmaking, digital design or photography. Fluency with iMovie is preferred.
-An organized and professional outlook.
Our ideal candidate is a young professional who looks and acts like near-peer leader.
