A+ (You Get An A Plus) is based in NYC and is a boutique engagement management and creative consulting firm with clients spanning the creative industries. We make niche into big, and give back corporate the “bespoke-factor” that it has lost. We create, develop, and execute innovative brand strategies, unforgettable + engaging moments and events, facilitate partnerships and collaborations, develop prudent long-term growth timelines, and execute results-driven solutions for our clients. Essentially, we bridge the gap between the business and the creative, so our client’s can scale for success.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is a team player, flexible, yet focused, walks into a room and helps establish order, and makes friends in the process. Someone obsessed with innovation and technology, and is thoughtful when interacting with communities and building relationships, both in the physical and digital space. Most of all, we need someone who is humble, prudent, private, and gets a long with others. No egos, no snobbery, just good people. We will not ask you to get coffee, sort mail, and make copies on the regular, but if the Founder can do it, you are expected to as well.
Be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment. You will be working out of A+ HQ located in Greenwich Village, SoHo House, as well as about town at client offices.
–Be a part of the day-to-day of client/project management and communication.
–Assist the Founder and Chief of Staff in building and presenting client-tailored decks.
–Manage workflow and ensure that deadlines are met and work is completed correctly.
–Assist in on-boarding and training new hires and welcoming new clients
–Assume responsibility for office supplies, updating programs, and making sure the day to day equipment runs smoothly for the team.
–Respond to e-mails and calls on behalf of Founder and Chief of Staff when necessary.
–Take meeting minutes and transcribe notes during client calls and meetings.
–Plenty of additional opportunities in ad hoc projects.
What We Require:
Education + Experience:
–Bachelor’s degree required. Background in Communications, Business, Marketing, or other related discipline.
–Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel.
-Proficiency in Apple platforms with expertise in Pages and Keynote, a plus.
-Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and assisting where needed.
-Exceptional communication skills and professional in demeanor.
-Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
–You will provide your own laptop.
–You must be digitally savvy and be able to support on this level.
–You have the ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments and multi-task and perform delegated duties.
–Can follow creative direction yet also contribute original ideas.
