Small Private Equity firm seeks interns for deal analysis and industry research (Santa Monica, CA)
Founded by Harvard Law School / Harvard Business School alumnus, a newly launched private equity fund (Q1 2019) targeting small-cap to mid-cap acquisition opportunities seeks interns with a background in investment banking, private equity, or consulting. Seeking both undergraduate and MBA students.
Timing: The internship can begin immediately and last for the duration of the summer break and / or can continue into the school year. Following an acquisition, there will be opportunities for full-time roles either within the fund or within the portfolio company. The minimum commitment is 10 hours per week.
Job description: You will be working directly for a Harvard JD/MBA and be exposed to live deals and transactions. Your duties will include industry research, deal analysis and evaluation, with the opportunity for deal sourcing.
Compensation: The work typically qualifies for school credit. The firm will provide letters of recommendation as well as introductions to our vast network of contacts in consulting firms, banks, other private equity firms, etc.
Skill set: Seeking creative problem solvers with entrepreneurial attitudes and good personalities. Familiarity with Excel is preferred. Past M&A and/or deal underwriting experience required.
